Blood Curdling

30 Days of Night takes the sexy out of vampire and thrusts them back into the most frightening creatures on earth. This movie is set in Alaska. There could not be a more perfect place for vampires to migrate to since the sun only shines part of the year there. In this small town vampires terrorize the inhabitants before the sheriff and his wife are forced to find ways to kill them. As far as endings this movie creates its own unique one.

In Stephen Kings Salems Lot movie people are dropping off like flies. Ben and a young Mark save their small town by burning most of it to the ground. They run off in hiding just for a pregnant one to find them in Mexico.

Nosferatu has the classic vampire rising from his coffin scene but the most frightening thing about the movie is Max Schreck.Max's face and hands are things that crept right out a nightmare and onto the screen.

In the movie Martin a troubled 17 year old self declared vampire roams around trying hard to get his fix of blood. Since Martin does not have fangs he uses other devices to drain his victims. Martin has a strange fixation with talk radio and becomes a familiar voice on the air. Martins strange behavior and the cast of creepy characters makes this vampire mystery one of the more frightening.

Growing up and finding out your mother was bit by a vampire bat while pregnant with you is what Kristan finds out in the horror movie Condemned to Live. If finding out your mother was bit by a bat wasn't frightening enough poor Kristan thinks he is the reason why people all around him are dying. The villagers believe the deaths to be from a giant bat but Kristan believes that some how he is to blame. With this movie set in black and white it gives it that eerie feeling while watching it.
